Evergreen Walls had the privilege of leveraging our greenery expertise in collaboration with Erilyan Commercial Construction to design a stunning green feature wall for the brand new Wollongong Private Hospital. The client specified the use of greenery due to numerous science-backed claims that exposure to nature can heighten patients' spirits and, in some cases, speed up the healing process. Our mission of "turning a how into a wow" was at the forefront as we aimed to transform the hospital environment into a welcoming and serene space.

Using our versatile and fully customisable panels, our expert installers created a botanical display that added depth and texture, resulting in an appealing green wall that appeared to naturally expand across the space.

Our Solution

To achieve the desired look, we crafted a striking green wall that appeared as if it were naturally growing out of the wave-design timber. Our solution included the use of Classic Boxwood green wall panels, with the addition of lifelike Hanging Angel Vines to provide depth and a more organic appearance.

Hospitals often present unique challenges with stringent safety, hygiene, and design guidelines that must be carefully navigated. Real greenery is unfeasible in such environments due to the potential risk of bugs and pests. Recognising this, Erilyan Commercial Construction sought an artificial greenery solution that adhered to all building and hospital standards, yet was customizable to meet aesthetic requirements. As specialists in these precise needs, Evergreen Walls was the ideal candidate.

To ensure the client was fully satisfied and could visualise the end result, we created detailed mock-ups at the quote stage. This transparency and attention to detail helped us perfect our design ahead of installation.

Classic Boxwood, our traditional hedging bush, offers excellent coverage and customization potential. It serves as a versatile design product, acting as a blank canvas that can be enhanced with additional features. The hanging vines and bushes added to the green wall brought depth and volume, integrating seamlessly with the unique wave design of the timber. This created a visually captivating element that we hoped would bring joy to patients, visitors, and employees alike.
