The Vision

Luxury Escapes, a global leader in premium travel experiences, wanted their Chadstone Shopping Centre activation to do more than showcase their brand—it needed to transport customers into an environment that felt inspiring, calming, and connected to nature.

Partnering with Evergreen Walls, the brief was clear: deliver a visually immersive retail and hospitality experience that embodied the essence of biophilic design, while maintaining the practical advantages of durable, low-maintenance greenery.

The result was a two-part project that combined artificial green walls, hanging foliage, vine-wrapped columns, and a statement ceiling canopy, transforming the space into an atmosphere of luxury and escape.

The Process

The project unfolded in two stages: first, a pop-up activation at Chadstone where Evergreen Walls transformed the tenancy with Premium Amazon green wall panels, trailing foliage, and vine-wrapped columns to create a lush, inviting environment; and second, a permanent ceiling installation in the Luxury Escapes bar and lounge, where stunning panels of artificial greenery were integrated with pendant lighting and timber arches to form a dramatic canopy overhead.

Together, these installations softened hard architectural lines, elevated the ambience, and demonstrated how artificial greenery can be used as a powerful design element in both temporary and permanent retail spaces.

The Result

The finished installations achieved what Luxury Escapes envisioned: a retail and hospitality space that feels alive, immersive, and inherently premium.

The pop-up fitout delivered a captivating environment that drew customers into the brand’s story of luxury travel.

The permanent ceiling feature transformed the bar into a destination in itself, balancing design principles with practical durability.

Artificial greenery enables architects to design with freedom, without the limitations of irrigation, light access, or ongoing maintenance.
